Privacy Notice
Last updated: 11 Sep 2026
This standalone notice explains how Knackline (“we”, Data Fiduciary) processes digital personal data of individuals who use knackline.com (Data Principals), consistent with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
Who we are
Knackline operates this website and determines the purpose and means of processing described below. Contact: team@knackline.com. Website: https://www.knackline.com.
Personal data we collect
Itemised categories (only what is needed for the stated purpose):
- Contact form: name, email address, optional organisation and topic, message text, page path / referral source, and browser user-agent captured when you submit.
- Server / hosting logs: IP address, request time, URL, and similar technical metadata that hosting providers may log by default to operate and secure the site.
- Analytics: cookies and similar technologies via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — pages viewed, device/browser type, approximate location, session interaction data (including heatmaps / session replay for Clarity). See our Cookie Policy.
We do not run account registration, payments, or newsletter signup on this site. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under 18. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us to erase it.
Purpose and lawful basis
- Responding to inquiries you send: we process contact details and your message to reply and follow up on the conversation you started. Lawful basis: certain legitimate use for a purpose for which you voluntarily provided the data (DPDPA Section 7), and/or your clear affirmative action of submitting the form after this notice.
- Operating and securing the website: hosting and security logs as needed to keep the site available and safe (legitimate use / legal obligation where applicable under Indian law).
- Site analytics: to understand how the site is used and improve it (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity). See the Cookie Policy.
Who receives data
We do not sell personal data. Categories of recipients:
- Email delivery (Zoho Mail SMTP) to notify our team of leads and send a confirmation to you
- Website hosting / infrastructure provider (request logs and site delivery)
- Google LLC (Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) for site usage measurement
- Authorities when disclosure is required by Indian law
Cross-border transfers may occur to processors outside India (e.g. analytics vendors). Under DPDPA Section 16, transfers are permitted except to countries restricted by Central Government notification; we rely on contractual and vendor safeguards where available.
Retention
- Contact inquiries: kept while the conversation is active and up to 24 months after the last reply, unless a longer period is required by law or to establish/defend legal claims; then erased or anonymised.
- Hosting logs: per the host’s retention settings (typically short operational windows).
- Analytics data: per Google / Microsoft product retention settings.
Your rights (Data Principal)
Under DPDPA Chapter III you may request:
- Access to a summary of personal data we process about you (Section 11)
- Correction, completion, updating, or erasure where applicable (Section 12)
- Erasure or other applicable requests related to analytics identifiers, where feasible
- Nomination of another person to exercise rights in case of death or incapacity (Section 14)
- Grievance redressal (Section 13) — see below
Email team@knackline.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will respond within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Rules 2025 (expected within roughly 30–45 days once fully in force; we aim to reply sooner).
Grievance redressal
Contact our grievance point of contact at team@knackline.com. You must first use this mechanism (Section 13). If you remain unsatisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India through its prescribed digital channels once available for your matter.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures for a marketing site of this scale (HTTPS, access-limited mailboxes, least-privilege hosting). No method of transmission is perfectly secure.
Changes
We may update this notice when our processing changes. The “Last updated” date above will change; material changes will be reflected on this page or in the contact form notice.
